I chose the creative world of picture seeking over science, banking or living on benefits because I thought the outcome

might keep my family - first my parents, then my children, then my grandchildren - amused. This has proved to be true and we all still enjoy the journey.

 

Having a life-long base in London amid the entertainments of the Portobello Road in Notting Hill has been an added bonus, which I continue to exploit to the full, never missing an opportunity to photograph the characters who use the market day by day.
